Gooey Chocolate Peanut Butter Candy Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required for cake mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix (instant)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate candies or chocolate chips
  • Chocolate syrup, for drizzle
  • Peanut butter syrup or melted peanut butter, for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cake
    Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to the package directions in a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Make It Gooey
    While the cake is still warm, poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon or a fork.
  3. Add Peanut Butter Layer
    Microwave the peanut butter for about 20–30 seconds until pourable. Stir together with the sweetened condensed milk, then pour evenly over the cake so it seeps into the holes.
  4. Cool Completely
    Let the cake cool fully before adding toppings.
  5. Prepare Creamy Layer
    Whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, then spread over the cooled cake.
  6. Top It Off
    Spread the whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  7. Candy Explosion Time
    Sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups and chocolate candies generously over the top.
  8. Drizzle & Serve
    Finish with chocolate syrup and peanut butter drizzle. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving for the best texture.
