Pattern Instructions
Yoke:
-
Foundation Chain: Ch 120 (128, 136, 144). Join with the sl st to form a circle, being careful not to twist.
-
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each ch around. Sl st to top of ch-3.
(120, 128, 136, 144 dc) -
Rounds 2–6: Ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1 st, dc in next 2 sts. Repeat around. Sl st to join.
Optional: Insert stitch markers every 30 (32, 34, 36) stitches to divide front, back, and sleeves.
-
Round 7 (Increase for sleeves):
Ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in same st (inc), sk 1, dc in next 2 sts. Repeat every 30 sts to increase at sleeve separation points. Sl st to join. -
Rounds 8–12: Continue in established pattern, working increases every 2 rounds at the 4 marked points.
-
Separate for Sleeves: Skip stitches for sleeves and work only front and back in rounds:
-
Work dc lace pattern for front 60 (64, 68, 72) sts
-
Sk next 30 (32, 34, 36) sts (sleeve)
-
Work 60 (64, 68, 72) sts for back
-
Sk next 30 (32, 34, 36) sts (sleeve)
-
Join the front and back with chains at the underarms if needed (ch 5–10), depending on bust size.
Body / Skirt:
Now work in rounds again for the lace body and skirt section.
Lace Pattern (Repeat of 4 rounds):
Round A: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, ch 2, sk 2, dc in next 2 sts — repeat around.
Round B: Ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in next, ch 2, sk 2, dc in next st — repeat around.
Round C: Ch 4, tr in next st, ch 2, sk 2, tr in next 2 sts — repeat around.
Round D: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, sk 1, dc in next 2 sts — repeat around.
Repeat Rounds A–D until dress reaches desired length (approx. 30–35 inches from underarm).

Finishing:
-
Bottom Edge: Optional shell border: Sc in first st, sk 1, 5 dc in next st, sk 1, sc in next — repeat around.
-
Neckline and Armholes:
-
Work 1 round of sc around each armhole and neckline.
-
Optionally add a picot edging: Sc, ch 3, sl st in first ch, sc in next st
-
-
Weave in all ends. Block garment for even stitch definition and drape.
Tips for Customization:
-
For a longer dress, continue the lace rounds to the desired length.
-
For a tighter fit at the waist, use a smaller hook or decrease a few stitches after the bust.
-
Add a thin belt or tie at the waistline for a defined silhouette.
